The College of DuPage Police Department is a professional, full-service law enforcement agency dedicated to maintaining a safe college environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The Department operates around the clock, every day of the year, and is staffed by certified and sworn officers dedicated to delivering the highest quality law enforcement services while serving as a vital resource to the community. In recognition of its commitment to excellence, the College of DuPage Police Department earned accreditation from the Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ILEAP) in 2023.

The Police Department understands the vital importance of community engagement, offering awareness and preparedness classes designed to enhance community awareness and preparedness and the the overall safety of the college.

    Call (630) 942-2000 — available 24/7.
  • Emergency (Regional Centers)
    Dial 911.
  • In Person
    Visit our Administrative Offices in HEC 1040 or the Dispatch Center in SRC 2100.

  • Silent Witness Program
    Email codpolicedepartment@cod.edu with any information that may help us maintain campus safety. Please include as much detail as possible, including who, what, when, and where. Your identity will be protected to the fullest extent possible.

Other Ways to Report

  • Call Boxes (Blue Light Phones)
    Emergency call boxes with a blue light are located throughout the campus exterior, including parking lots and sidewalks. When activated, they connect directly to the Police Department.
  • Red Phones
    When picked up, Red Phones immediately connect to our dispatch center. These phones are mounted on walls throughout all campus buildings.
  • Everbridge Application
    You can report incidents through the Everbridge app. To get started, download the app from your phone's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play).
